We are delighted to say that the 107group met their funding goal, and the production of ‘My Eyes Went Dark’ is now going ahead! Opening the Finborough Theatre’s Autumn Season, the play will run from Tuesday 25th August until Saturday 9th September 2015.
Inspired by real events, ‘My Eyes Went Dark’ is a new play by Matthew Wilkinson, developed through the National Theatre Studio and produced by 107group. Nikolai Koslov, a Russian architect and father, avenges the death of his family in a plane crash – by killing the air traffic controller he holds responsible. Maintaining he can’t remember his crime, Koslov serves four years in a Swiss prison before being suddenly released. Back home he is greeted as a national hero and is even given a ministerial position. But guilt and remorse cannot stay buried forever.
The 107group have generously offered to donate 10% of any profits from the production to The Forgiveness Project, and we are very proud to be involved in this fascinating piece of work!
