An alive and spontaneous space that nurtures a growing body of wisdom, and encourages creative cross-disciplinary collaborations.
This session will host two new amazing mini-workshops.
1. “Telling personal stories of transformation”, facilitated by Ben Yeger
Everyone has a personal story to tell. Sharing these stories can be transformative for both teller and listeners- this act seems to connect us all. In this session we will look at our own stories of transformation and look at how we can communicate these as part of contributing to making changes in our and others lives. Ben Yeger is an ex combatant (Israeli Army 83-86) and UK representative of Combatants for Peace (CfP). The telling of personal stories of transformation has always and continues to form a central part of the work of CfP. Ben is an experienced group facilitator, Drama Therapist and Movement Medicine Facilitator and the lead on personal story telling training within CfP. He has told his own story of transformation in many different settings including in a TEDX talk in Warrick last year.
2. “Forgiveness Narratives”, with Robin Shohet
Robin Shohet will facilitate a sharing of participants forgiveness narratives, listening to people’s stories on how they might have been able to go beyond betrayal and revenge, or equally how they might be unable to let go. Before moving on to forgiveness, Robin studied betrayal and revenge. That helped him understand why forgiveness is so difficult for people. He has worked as a psychotherapist and supervisor for individuals and couples and consultant for various organisations. He has written and edited six books in this field. His work on forgiveness has been strongly influenced by A Course in Miracles and he has organised two international conferences at the Findhorn Foundation, a spiritual community in Scotland.
Fee: £10 ( £5 conc. for students and unemployed) payable on the door.
The Forum meets six times a year. Meetings include: mini-workshops, presentations on new areas of work, small group discussions on best practice, networking time, sharing info and resources.
